I wrote this song after coming back from a trip to Newfoundland, I had such a good time and it was so amazing, I was tempted to stay and live there, but wanted to keep going with my band so I came home. It’s also about a girl that lives out there.
lyrics
You don’t know what you have
Until you’re walking all alone
Wondering why it’s not the same
You kept listening to all those songs
She said were her favourite ones
Now they’re always the last one you choose
You need her
To sleep at night
You know that now
You keep working at your job
All the hours are dragging on
While she’s two thousand miles off, living
Drinking that same alcohol
It don’t taste the way it did
When you were out there living
Chorus x 2
